Portfolio
Since most of the work I do is "behind the scenes," implementing websites designed by other designers or making existing website designs easier to maintain for the site owners, they do not lend themselves well to a visual portfolio. Below are descriptions of and links to two websites that I have actually designed, and a third where I have implemented someone else's design. A fuller list of websites I have worked on is available upon request.
Vermont Workers' Center
An original Drupal theme for a workers' rights and universal healthcare organization in Vermont. Features include a rotating slideshow of "features" on the front page; each slide has an associated title and short description, and can be linked to either another page on the website, an external website, or a shadowbox popup.
UE Northeast Region
An original Drupal theme for a regional trade union. Features include a rotating slideshow on the front page, for which the owners can upload new photos which are automatically resized and cropped, and a jQuery/Ajax script so when viewers use the form to subscribe to the listserve they stay on the front page.
The Dock Doctors
CSS/XHTML implementation of a design by Kehoe + Kehoe. Most pages include a jQuery-based slideshow with full controls, including ability to browse thumbnails. Page content, and slideshow information, are stored in XML files which are then plugged into a template using simple PHP scripts.
